Terms

Effective at first purchase availability · applies to the Postel Mail macOS app and postelmail.com

Who’s who

Postel Mail is made by BNFY (“we”). Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record — when you buy, the transaction, invoice, and card handling are Paddle’s, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Your relationship for the software itself is with us.

Your license

A Postel Mail license is personal: it covers you, the Google accounts you connect, and the Macs you use. It isn’t a seat to share, resell, or embed in something else. The app itself remains ours; the license is your right to use it while your subscription is active.

The trial

The first 14 days are free — the whole app, no card, no account. When the trial ends, the app asks you to buy a license or stop using it; it will not silently charge you, because it has nothing to charge.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew until canceled — monthly or yearly, as you chose. Cancel any time through the management link on your Paddle receipt; you keep what you paid for through the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails, there is a short grace period while Paddle retries before the license lapses.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Paddle as seller of record under their policy. If something went wrong, write to [email protected] first — we would rather fix it than argue about it.

Your mail

Your mail is yours and stays between your Mac and Gmail; we never receive it. What little this site does hold is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Fair limits

Postel Mail is provided as-is. We work hard to make it careful and correct — it is the entire point of the product — but we cannot promise it is free of defects, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory consumer rights.

Good behavior

Don’t use Postel Mail to break the law, to abuse Google’s services, or to try to break the app’s licensing. We may end a license for doing so.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the change is announced on this page with a new effective date before it applies. Continuing to use the app after that date accepts the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of BNFY’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
